Making a difference for Members

Suzanne has an extensive background in financial services working in senior roles in the UK investment industry, and then at Westpac and AA Insurance in New Zealand. It was her desire to join a Board that has a 100% focus on Members, culture and purpose, that led her to MAS.

“Joining MAS was an easy decision because it felt like a natural fit for me. I get so much satisfaction from getting the best outcomes for Members. As a mutual, our Members are always at the forefront of everything we do. Now, as CEO, I’m looking forward to building on our strategies to best serve our Members and continuing to work alongside our incredible team.”

Originally from the UK, Suzanne settled in New Zealand over 20 years ago. These days, she calls Auckland’s North Shore home, where she lives with wife Melinda and children Ellie, 18, and Spencer, 14, and a menagerie of pets. And while Auckland is her home base, Suzanne is intending to spend the majority of her time working at the MAS head office in Wellington.
